Spokane Garden Expo

 Hello everyone.

A friend is manning a smaller booth for me at Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market from 9-2 tomorrow at the Rathdrum Lions Club and you'll find me in Spokane at the Spokane Garden Expo. Official hours are 9-5 but it's okay to show up as early as as 7 am. Due to the distance I won't be there til 7:30. I will have an extremely well stocked double booth right in front of the Lair building. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, squash, cucumbers etc.

Can't wait to see you there.

Spring on the farm

It's always exciting when a hen does such a great job hatching eggs then being a mama. She actually survived sitting on her nest in my goats hay feeder and then she and her chicks survived for a couple days til they were moved to a brooder box. I have an isolation coop however our mud season lasted 6 months and just as it dried up it's raining...AGAIN. Yuck. I have 60 chicks arriving early July and a banty sitting on eggs so of course I just put 66 eggs in the incubator. lol. I just can't help myself.

Reach for the light

See this tiny lavender start? He had a rough start. He’s barely 24 hours old and he nearly died. Due to the uncertainty of our days he was neglected. He was limp and laying flat. I thought for sure he would die due to lack of water. But look at him now. He dug down deep for a drink of refreshing water. He wiggled his roots about to absorb some vital nutrients. He’s just a tiny newborn start but he can teach us a lot. He did not give up. He laid flat, neglected, lonely…but with a little love he realized he could stretch to the light and make it. If he can do it then so can we. Reach for the light, accept and embrace love from others. Reach for the stars. Don’t let the trials of this world get you down. Someday this lavender start will be a full grown plant with beautiful and fragrant flowers. It will spread out to the surrounding areas and beautify it’s world. So can you. We all have an impact on those around us. Smile, love, let your light shine.

My calendar of events is up and running

Good morning everyone. I do hope you follow along with me on my incredible year. 2023 is looking to be a spectacular year.

I've finally started using my calendar so you can see where I will be. As always I will continue posting on my facebook pages as well. There's one more opportunity for 2023 that hasn't been finalized so I won't be adding it to my calendar until the details are finalized.

You will always find me at the events and summer market of Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market. That is a unique market of which I am extremely proud to be a part of. I am the president of the board and due to health issues I had to miss the last event of the season. The board members and vendors stepped up and did an outstanding job and I am so proud of them.

If you are looking for some incredible infused honeys and sugars then look no further than Bee Tastee llc. They are located right here in Athol, ID and you can find them on facebook.

Exciting news

My business was invited to participate in the big Garden Expo 2023 in Spokane in May. I applied and was accepted. I am so excited for this new chapter in my farm life. I will be taking over 2,500 single plants and 64 plus flats of multi packs and some hanging baskets. Please follow along and see how I get ready for this tremendous opportunity.

I'm really just a small farm in rural Athol, Idaho so to even be noticed is such an honor.

The event is May 13th 9am-5pm at Spokane Community College.

It's fall

So it looks like fall is ending after a mere 2 weeks and winter is coming and Aahhhh!!!! That's me screaming in my head. Are you like me and so far behind in being ready for winter? We had fall for a mere 2 weeks yet snow, cold and wind are on their way. I added a two day fall festival to my line up and that really does use up a lot of time. And I was at two farmers markets this year. I left the one so next year I'll have more time on my farm. I'm looking forward to that. Meanwhile, I'm at Post Falls Holiday Craft Fair at the Trailhead Event Center at Q'emlin Park in Post Falls this Saturday 9-3:30.
I'll have amazing gluten free and keto baked goods, fudge, jams etc.

But back to the Aaahhhh!!!!! How's your progress? I'm running a farm so there's always a lot to do. I guess I should give up on ever being 100% ready. lol. Love to hear how it's going for you.
